Why it keeps happening
Eco-friendly pest control services can mean all kinds of things, depending on who you ask. For us it describes how the work is done. We look before we treat, we start outside the house, and we treat only the places where pests are living or getting in. Products are applied according to their labels, which helps limit unnecessary pesticide use and indoor exposure.
The real question
What does eco-friendly pest control actually mean?
It means a plan that starts with an inspection instead of a spray. We find what's drawing pests in, such as moisture, gaps or food, and we treat the outside of the home first. Inside treatment is for the cases that need it, roaches for example. No pest control carries zero risk, and we won't tell you it does. Your technician can tell you what is being applied and where.
Not sure what you’re seeing? An inspection tells you exactly what’s going on.

How a visit works
The steps are the same whether you call about ants, mosquitoes or a mouse in the garage. What changes is what we find.
- We inspect the property, outside and inside where needed, to see what's actually going on.
- We look for the reasons pests are there: moisture, gaps, food, shelter.
- We treat the outside of the home first, where most problems start.
- We treat inside only where the inspection shows it's needed.
You'll know what we found, what we did and what we'd suggest next.

Why we start outside the house
Most of the ants, spiders and crickets you find indoors live and nest outside. They come in looking for food, water or a dry place to shelter. Spraying the inside of a house deals with the ones that already got in. It does nothing about why they came.
So we look at what's around the foundation first.
- Damp soil and mulch piled against the house
- Gutters and downspouts that send water toward the foundation
- Gaps around doors, windows and utility lines
- Shrubs and branches touching the siding
Fixing those conditions and treating the outside where pests gather usually means fewer treatments inside.
Pests we handle this way
The same approach runs through every service we offer. Pick the one that matches what you're seeing:
- Ant control
- Spider control
- Termite control
- Mosquito control
- Tick control
- Stinging insect control
- Bee & wasp nest removal
- Rodent control
- Cockroach control
- General crawling insects
General crawling insects covers silverfish, earwigs, crickets and similar pests. Not sure which one you need? The inspection will tell you, and the first one is free.

Eco-friendly mosquito control without spraying the whole yard
Mosquito sprays often kill every insect they touch, not only mosquitoes. Since 2018 we've also offered a different option, the In2Care mosquito station. It isn't a spray. Mosquitoes visit the station and carry its larvicide to other breeding sites.
For the rest of the yard we look for standing water and treat the shaded, leafy spots where mosquitoes rest, instead of spraying everything. You can read more about how we use the In2Care station or go straight to our mosquito control page.

Homes with pets and children
Our service is built for homes with pets. We begin with an inspection, address exterior conditions first, and use targeted treatments only where needed.
After a visit, follow the product label and your technician's instructions about when people and pets can go back into treated areas. Our guide to what to do after a pest control treatment covers the questions people ask most.

What eco-friendly doesn't mean
A few things worth knowing before you hire anyone, us included.
- We still use products. They come with labels, and we follow them.
- Some pests need treatment inside the house. Roaches are one example, and when that's the case, we do it.
- We don't treat everything. One wasp nest doesn't call for spraying the whole yard.
If a company tells you its service is completely natural or carries no risk, ask what that claim is based on.
